As part of the Wavemaker Connect initiative, Bescura Family Hub has received a package of essential digital tools to support their ongoing mission of empowering local families. This includes:
- 10 Chromebooks for flexible use in workshops and community sessions
- A 55” display screen to enhance group teaching and collaborative learning
- Bespoke signage and materials to help spread the word and make the space feel welcoming and connected
These resources will play a key role in helping the hub deliver a wide range of digital inclusion activities - from skills sessions and job searching support to creative projects and online learning.
The kit was collected by Brett, Bescura’s First Aid Instructor and Family Mentor. Together, the Port Vale Foundation and Bescura Family Hubb are committed to building digital skills and confidence within the community. Bescura is already making a real difference, and their dedication is clear. Luke Cassidy also shared a few words about the significance of this new partnership and what it means for the families they support:

Bescura Family Hub joins a growing family of Connect partners across the region, all working together to make digital access and learning more inclusive, creative, and community-driven. By supporting local hubs with tailored resources and training, Wavemaker Connect is helping to bridge the digital divide and empower people of all ages to thrive in an increasingly connected world.
