What is Wavemaker Connect?

Wavemaker Connect is a fully supported digital inclusion programme designed to empower communities by providing free access to digital skills and support. It enables organisations to tackle digital exclusion by educating and assisting stakeholders - whether they are residents, patients, learners, or members of your community.

Becoming a Wavemaker Connect centre means creating a dedicated space where people can break down digital barriers and gain essential digital skills for life, work, health, and beyond. Through free, flexible online courses and guided support, individuals can build confidence, independence, and employability.

What’s Included?

To support digital inclusion, Connect centres receive a Wavemaker Connect Kit, which includes:
  • Access to Wavemaker’s DigitAll learning platform.

  • Essential hardware (Chromebooks, tablets, accessories) to support learning.

  • Resources and signage to promote digital learning in your community.

  • Access to the National Databank, providing free mobile data for eligible users.

  • A display screen (optional) to enhance group learning and Digital Leader-led sessions.

  • Connectivity solutions (optional) for those without access to the internet.

Additionally, as a Wavemaker Connect Centre, you’ll receive ongoing support and access to emerging digital inclusion initiatives as they arise.

What Can Participants Do at a Wavemaker Connect Centre?

A Wavemaker Connect Centre provides a digitally inclusive hub where individuals can:
  • Attend a free digital inclusion onboarding session to get started with learning on the DigitAll platform.

  • Access internet connectivity and devices to support their digital learning journey.

  • Learn at their own pace with structured, flexible courses available anytime, anywhere.

  • Join an online learning community for peer-to-peer encouragement and guidance from the Wavemaker team.

  • Sign up for the National Databank to access free mobile data where needed.

  • Connect with other schemes and initiatives as they become available.
