Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Agreement”) set out the roles, responsibilities, and expectations for organisations hosting a Wavemaker Connect Centre. By enrolling as a Wavemaker Connect Centre, your organisation (“the Organisation”) agrees to these terms as part of Wavemaker’s commitment to digital inclusion and accessibility.

2. Purpose of a Wavemaker Connect Centre

The Wavemaker Connect Centre exists to:

✔ Provide free access to digital skills learning through the DigitAll learning platform.
✔ Support individuals in developing confidence, independence, and employability through digital education.
✔ Reduce digital exclusion by offering resources, equipment, and guidance in a welcoming community space.
✔ Encourage lifelong learning through self-paced online courses with peer and expert support.
✔ Foster community engagement by creating a hub where individuals can access digital skills and support.

3. Wavemaker’s Responsibilities

Wavemaker will:

✔ Provide a Wavemaker Connect Starter Pack, including signage, posters, digital assets, onboarding guides, and promotional materials.
✔ Offer access to the DigitAll learning platform, providing structured, high-quality digital courses for all ability levels.
✔ Supply a Wavemaker Connect Kit (if applicable), which may include Chromebooks, tablets, accessories, and learning materials.
✔ Support access to internet connectivity through the National Databank Scheme for eligible individuals.
✔ Provide branding guidelines and assets to help the Organisation promote Wavemaker Connect appropriately.
✔ Offer ongoing guidance and support to ensure the success of the Connect Centre.

4. The Organisation’s Responsibilities

By enrolling as a Wavemaker Connect Centre, the Organisation agrees to:

✔ Host and maintain a Wavemaker Connect Centre as a dedicated space for digital learning.
✔ Ensure accessibility of equipment so that all learners have fair and equal access to digital learning opportunities.
✔ Store and maintain provided equipment securely and in good working order for the duration of this agreement.
✔ Promote Wavemaker Connect using the provided branding assets and in line with Wavemaker’s branding guidelines.
✔ Support learners in accessing digital courses by providing guidance during onboarding and learning sessions.
✔ Provide internet access where possible. If using a mobile WiFi hotspot, the Organisation is responsible for arranging and funding a suitable mobile data contract (starting from £15 per month). Wavemaker can advise on appropriate plans.
✔ Record learner engagement and report monthly participation numbers to their designated Wavemaker contact.
✔ Engage in feedback and reporting, providing insights into user experiences, challenges, and successes.

5. Equipment Use and Responsibilities

✔ All equipment provided remains the property of the Organisation once received.
✔ Equipment must only be used for digital inclusion purposes within the Wavemaker Connect Centre.
✔ The Organisation is responsible for safekeeping, security, and maintenance of all provided equipment.
✔ Wavemaker is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to any equipment once it has been delivered.
✔ Mobile WiFi hotspots require a separate data contract, which must be arranged and paid for by the Organisation. Wavemaker can provide guidance on suitable providers.

6. Branding and Promotion

✔ The Organisation must conform to Wavemaker’s branding guidelines when promoting Wavemaker Connect.
✔ Wavemaker will provide official branding assets for use in marketing materials.
✔ Any externally produced materials must not alter Wavemaker’s branding without prior approval.
✔ The Organisation must not misrepresent Wavemaker Connect or suggest services beyond what is outlined in this agreement.

7. Duration and Termination

✔ This agreement is valid for 24 months from the date of signing.
✔ Either party may terminate the agreement with one month’s written notice.
✔ Upon termination, any unused materials, branding, or resources must no longer be used for promotional purposes.
